These Terms govern your use of the Whispyr website and the Whispyr app. We’ve kept this readable and structured — a clean agreement that matches Whispyr’s local-first, proximity-native design philosophy.
1. Agreement to these Terms
By accessing or using Whispyr, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or app.
2. The Whispyr model
Whispyr is built for proximity-first communication. Nearby discovery and direct peer sessions reduce reliance on centralized infrastructure. The website provides product information; the app provides the service.
3. Eligibility and responsible use
You agree to use Whispyr responsibly and in compliance with applicable law. You must not misuse the service or attempt to compromise the experience for others.
- No harassment, threats, stalking, or targeted abuse.
- No unlawful content, exploitation, or harmful coordination.
- No attempts to reverse engineer, disrupt, or bypass security controls.
4. Accounts, identity, and local-first behavior
Whispyr may offer profile-based identity that is designed to remain lightweight. Where the app supports local-first storage, your identity and conversations may be stored on-device by default.
5. Backups and continuity
If the app provides backup and restore features, you control when exports occur and where backups are stored. You are responsible for safeguarding any exported files and any passphrases you choose to set.
6. Intellectual property
Whispyr’s software, design system, branding, and content are owned by Whispyr Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission unless allowed by law.
7. Updates and availability
Whispyr may evolve over time. We may update features, adjust UI flows, or refine capabilities to improve performance, safety, or clarity. We may also update these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. Local connectivity can be affected by environment, device conditions, and platform limitations.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whispyr Limited will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data, arising from use of the website or app.
Short version
Use Whispyr respectfully. Don’t try to break it. If you export backups, store them carefully. Expect a product that is intentionally lightweight, local-first, and still sharpening over time.
